The Weekly AWANA Club is designed to teach the gospel message, through Scripture memory, Bible study, awards, team-oriented games and a whole lot of fun. The Club is open to children between age 3 and Grade 6.
Children ages 3 & 4 are in the CUBBIES program
Children, Kindergarten to Grade 2 are in the SPARKS program
Children in Grades 3-6 are in the T&T (TRUTH & TRAINING) program
Each Club Night Clubbers…
– sign in between 5:45 and 6:00 pm (attendance, collect dues of $0.50)
Please ensure that your child brings their running shoes (non-marking), uniform, handbook and dues every club night. Running shoes and long pants (no shorts or skirts) are required for participation in the game activities.
– DROP OFF time is between 5:45pm and 6:00pm. There is no supervision prior to 5:45 pm.
– Our Opening Session starts promptly at 6:00 pm. We ask that the Clubbers are on time and ready to go for the start of Club Night.
– Club Night finishes promptly at 7:30pm.
The AWANA Club night consists of three parts: games, achievements, and council time (Singing and Bible Lesson). Trained Leaders (adults and Teens) are involved in the three programs. While the church provides the facilities and equipment, each Clubber is asked to bring $0.50 weekly to provide for awards and supplies.
Your child will receive an Entrance Booklet, which is the first step in AWANA achievement. We hope you will help him/her to complete this test in the first three weeks of club. After the Entrance Test is completed, a Clubber is eligible to purchase a handbook and a club uniform.
Each year we end our AWANA program with an Awards Night. Each Clubber is encouraged to work on their handbook throughout the year. Progress awards are presented to Clubbers throughout the year as they complete sections of their handbook. Special awards as well as special summer camp opportunities are presented to those Clubbers that complete their handbook.
We want to cooperate with you in providing balanced physical, social, mental and spiritual activities for your child. If you have any questions you may contact the church office.
